Neville Goddard 1905 – 1972
Born in Barbados, West Indies, Neville went to the United States to study drama at the age of seventeen. In 1932 he gave up the theatre to devote his attention to his studies in mysticism when he began his lecture career in New York City.
Over a career spanning from 1939 – 1972, Neville Goddard became one of the more quietly dramatic and supremely influential teachers in the New Thought field and his works continue to influence and inspire people today.
His books and pamphlets were sold at lectures and he freely allowed his students to tape his addresses without charge.
Techniques
Some of Neville’s most effective techniques are below. These can be very useful when you are trying to win something or to create anything in your life.
Create a Scene that Implies you Already Have Your Desire
The Ladder Technique for Experiencing Your Desire as Real
Revision – Recreate your Experience as It should Have Happened
If the day was not what you wanted it to be, go back and re-create it in your imagination as it should have been and relive it with the joy of your ideal day. This is a very powerful technique.
I Remember When – Put the Pain in the Past as a Memory
You put what you don’t want in the past so it is a memory, for example “I remember when I could not win a thing” – past – “and look at me now with all the things I have won and am winning” and describe your vision so clearly others can see and feel it.
Mental Conversations – Hear Yourself Being Congratulated
Neville Goddard was also a huge fan of stories to illustrate the power of Imagination to create your Desires and he collected thousands of stories over the course of his career from people who had used their Imagination to solve just about every human problem and to create their desires.
Here are some of my favourites. They are quite appropriate for winning things.

This man used his Imagination to SEE, HEAR and FEEL his win. He created it with his Imagination
$250,000 Hearing and Revision Technique
Neville heard what he wanted to hear and persuaded himself that he had heard the man say he already had the money. You can also use this to hear people (in your imagination) congratulate you on your win before you have actually received it.
Isn’t it Wonderful
This is FEELING that feeling of “Isn’t it Wonderful” and “Something Wonderful is happening to me now.” The lady in this story really caught the mood of that and manifested herself a lifelong income.
